It was built at the beginning of the twentieth century and the design is reminiscent of the so-called Casonas de Indianos built by Spanish emigrants (nick-named indianos) who went to Latin America to seek their fortunes in Cuba, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, Mexico or Argentina, coming back years later to enjoy retirement in the land of their birth. |
